Creating more jobs for our citizens
Over the past four years, Mayor Warren has been working hard to bring more jobs to Rochester, and more opportunity for all of our citizens. The results speak for themselves – unemployment has dropped from 9% to 6%, and we are creating jobs for our citizens. Development is taking place in every corner of our city, from Downtown to Hudson Avenue and everywhere in between.
However, she is not simply creating jobs – she is creating opportunity, providing training, and building a more inclusive city. Initiatives like Operation Transformation Rochester (OTR) and the Young Adults Manufacturing Technology Employment Program (YAMTEP) provide workforce development training for adults.  The Mayor’s Office of Innovation has started a van pool program that helps connect citizens to more affordable transportation, and Kiva Rochester, which helps our citizens start a business with 0% interest financing.
