(Thursday, May 13, 2021) — Today we are pleased to honor Monroe County, Faith and Community Based Organizations, and City R-Centers and Library Branches for their pandemic recovery efforts.
Rochester is emerging and recovering stronger and more equitable from this pandemic than ever before. I am so appreciative of our faith leaders and community partners for their dedication to our citizens during this pandemic. The unyielding sacrifices of our healthcare workers, essential workers, first responders and community organizations are the reason why our city is on a fast track to recovery.
The community and faith-based organizations honored today include Rochester City School District, Urban League of Rochester, Ibero-American Action League, United Way of Rochester, RTS, Common Ground Health, Lifespan of Greater Rochester, Legal Aid, Refugees Helping Refugees, Greater Harvest Church, Aenon Baptist Church, Memorial AME Zion Church, Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, House of Prayer and Restoration and the Church of Love Faith Center.
